MAV

MAV - VARIABLE GEOMETRY PRESS-ROLL

RANGE
The most advanced plate roll for thickness greater than 60-80 mm,(2 – 3 Inches). A machine apart, with many exclusive benefits, the best solution available in “super heavy applications”.

PRESS-ROLL DESIGN
MAV is the absolute easiest 3 roll to operate, as it works exactly like a press-brake. Like a ram, the top roll moves up and down and the material, sits on the side rolls like a bed.

The rolls rotation feeds the entire plate length and rounds the cylinder to the necessary diameter.

VARIABLE GEOMETRY
The side rolls can be moved in and out independently, optimizing the geometry for any application.
Positioning the side roll to reduce the flat-end, results in the shortest flat-end for any thickness, thanks to the “variable” geometry, vs. any other “fixed” geometry 3 roll plate roll.
Opening completely the side rolls, increasing the bed, the machine can form much thicker plates than any other roll in the industry.
Moving independently all three rolls, allows the best geometry for any angle of cone.

DAVI EXCLUSIVE BENEFITS

SERVO-TRONIC
Servo-Tronic is more accurate than any previous hydraulic, electronic or mechanic (torsion bar) parallel system, and keeps all the three machine’s rolls parallel, even in case of electronic problems (less down-time), as it has a dual, independent but integrated, parallel control system (Davi Patent).

DAVI TECHNOLOGY
Permanent Lubrication, Energy Saving, digital Roll by Wire and the dual Servo-Tronic parallel system (most Davi Patented), make it innovative, state-of-the-art, easy to be operated, highly productive, very accurate, reliable and maintenance-free.

ISO – MADE IN ITALY
ISO 9001:2008 certified, built with total quality, complying with tight ISO standards (today, a “must” in the market), it is engineered and built for high performance, in a distinguished design common to the most reputed “100% Made in Italy” products.
It also benefits from the professional mechanical “passion” of Promau’s local area, home of Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Ducati, ect., the most advanced Italian high-tech companies.

DAVI "MAV" Variable Axis Geometry PRESS ROLL Benefits

“BUILT-IN” THREE POWERED ROLLS
The only variable axis plate roll engineered with three independently powered motors, as a standard feature, mounted directly on the roll shafts, allowing the most powerful torque transmission in the market.
Machines of other brands have only the top roll powered. The side rolls have brakes, that make it difficult to feed properly thin, narrow or large diameter cans. The idle rolls can be powered, but only on request, and with small and low powered auxiliary motors.

THREE HYDRAULIC MOTORS
DAVI has three independent hydraulic motors, directly splined on the roll shafts, to ensure excellent plate feeding, with less risk of slipping. The heavier capacity machine models also incorporate the DAVI “Multi-Motor” Top Roll technology (three or four hydraulic motors – depending on the machine size - to power the main gear-drive, allowing the machine to run and produce, also during maintenance on one of the motors) to increase the torque and avoid down time.

ACCURATE FEEDING
All three rolls are safely and efficiently braked automatically and hydraulically instead of using low efficiency, consumable brake linings common to other brands.

EXCLUSIVE TOP ROLL TILTING
The exclusive tilting, self-aligning top roll housing (vs. the rigid housing of machines of other brands), allows, when making cones, to tilt also the top roll up to more than 100 mm (four inches), to get easier, faster, more accurate and more angle heavy cones.
Other brands machines, usually, tilts 50 mm (2 inches) only the side rolls and nothing, or as little as 10-20 mm (1/2 to 3/4”) the top roll, but dangerously pressing on its shaft, due to the rigid housing.

DAVI MAV structure is extremely rigid and compact:

- The hydraulic cylinders for the side rolls are “built-in” the frame, inserted “on the inside”, allowing them to be strong and positively “locked” into the structure, for more rigidity and higher performance.
Many other brands, instead, “bolt on” the cylinders from the outside of the frame, attaching them with dozens of retaining screws, with high risk of leaks, looseness and wear, and much less rigidity in the entire system.

- The two machine frames are connected by two large and heavy H-beams, to ensure the maximum of rigidity and compactness of the entire machine. Common to many competitors, the base under their frames is less sturdy and rigid, and enlarges the machine’s overall footprint.
